I've getting into the unsung flowers more lately too, because they're another source of wonder of the beauty and ingenuity of plants. Having a camera that specializes in macro photography has helped too, admittedly, as it give me something I can really spend time looking at later. (The camera is an Olympus "Tough" and it can take photos underwater too! It's surprisingly affordable as well.)
I was so thrilled to meet that lizard! I was moving a tarp and there s/he was, on a rock that had been holding down the corner. So funny to find an "alligator" in northern California, lol.
Beautiful photos! Here in mid-Michigan, the red maples are just about done flowering.
Thanks! Are the flowers the same color?
Red, yes.
I'm a huge fan of the unsung flowers of grass/sedge and wind pollinated trees! Such exquisite little hidden gems. Cool lizard, too!

I'm jealous of the macro camera! My iphone camera is so limited in its focal range and has to be coaxed.
I love that you included the Maple flowers! They really are beautiful. I watch them unfurl each year.
This is the first year I've paid this much attention to them. Though it's also my first spring in many years since I was someplace where Maples grow.
Love macro lense views! Very therapeutic. Thank you as I’m in the land of snow and ice and not sure when I’ll see spring.
You're welcome! I find them therapeutic as well.
What a joy to witness spring emerge! Thanks for the photos.
