speaking for the trees (no matter where they’re from)

My purpose here is “plant advocacy.” I post about plant-related topics including ecology, agriculture, wildtending, protecting habitat, botany and climate issues. My two main areas of emphasis are the “invasive plant” narrative and the “green energy” narrative, both of which I strongly critique from an environmental perspective. I also post my own photography of plants, animals and their habitats.

I have self-published several books delving into all these subjects, available for sale here. I offer free review copies of any/all my books to podcasters, bloggers and other content creators upon request.

Paid subscribers will get paywalled posts monthly and early access to podcast episodes when they’re released, which is sporadically. Paywalled posts will include material from my current book-in-progress, which I’m co-authoring with Nikki Hill, tentatively entitled, “Don’t Blame the Messengers: A critique of the ‘invasive plant’ narrative.” (It’s an expansion of a zine we put out a few years ago.)

I hope you’ll appreciate what you find here. Feel free to contact me with any comments, questions or requests!
